Flooding River

 

 

 

Awful weather slashing rain,

Dirty river open drain,

Stinking sewage human waste,

Smells so strong so strong I taste,

A stench so strong it makes me heave,

A stench so bad I have to leave,

That my friend is the stink of money,

Profit made they think it “funny”

New fish to buy, they pay just pence,

For them it makes financial sense.

Protect the dividend, protect the Board,

Protect the massive golden hoard,

Do not invest in infrastructure,

They have control and now they’ve fucked ya,

The waters drop the rivers dead,

A “hard decision” the man he said,

We had two choices, both hard to make,

Its only fish for goodness sake,

Would you have us flood the street?

Our fiscal forecast we could not meet,

If we invested every pence in every pound,

There would be nothing left to share around,

No bonus, no profit, no dividend,

Life as we know it would simply end,

So suck it up and stop the moaning,

Its only water so stop the groaning,

Our profits made a job done well,

Our shares are high, It’s time to sell!
